There is a lot of positive praise for cloud computing. Are there any negative side effects that businesses should be aware of?

EXPERT RESPONSE
It's important to remember that cloud computing is still very new, and in many ways is more vaporware than reality. For cloud computing to work properly, the service provider must abstract the interfaces to the cloud seamlessly. In other words, you (the customer) should have no visibility into the execution environment, management infrastructure, or integration software that the service provider uses to implement the cloud. If you do have visibility into the inner workings of the cloud, then it's not really a cloud, is it?
